Registered Manager – Children’s Residential (EBD)

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum
Location: Vale of Belvoir
Setting: 4-Bed Children’s Home (EBD)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (flexibility required)
Contract: Permanent


About the Role

We are seeking a committed and experienced Registered Manager to lead a 4-bed children’s home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step up into their first Registered Manager position. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong, consistent leadership to the staff team

  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015

  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, care, and emotional support

  • Develop and oversee individualised care plans

  • Manage the home’s day-to-day operations, budget, and resources

  • Lead recruitment, supervision, and staff development

  • Build positive relationships with social workers, families, and external professionals

  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and inspection readiness

  • Drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes for young people


About You

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards)

  • Proven experience in a children’s residential setting

  • Confident leader with strong knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted standards

  • Organised, resilient, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for young people

  • Full UK driving licence (manual) required

We welcome applications from experienced Deputy Managers ready to progress into their first Registered Manager role.


Working Pattern

  • Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (flexibility required)

  • 169 contracted hours per month

  • 7–10 sleep-ins per month (average)

  • Deputy Managers work a 2 on / 4 off rolling rota
