Location: Chipping, Preston
Salary: £33,489 per year + performance bonus

Hours: Full-Time, Permanent
Shifts: 2 on 4 off rotating shift pattern

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join a supportive children’s home team in Chipping, near Preston, supporting children and young people aged 8-18 with emotional and behavioural needs. This role is commutable from Preston, Longridge, Clitheroe, Garstang, Blackburn, Fulwood, Ribchester, Great Harwood, Lancaster and surrounding areas

As a Team Leader, you will provide leadership, guidance and support to the team while ensuring children receive safe, nurturing and person-centred care. You will lead allocated shifts, coordinate staff, support day-to-day routines and ensure care is delivered in line with individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding requirements.

You will help create a stable and supportive environment where children feel safe, valued and understood, while also supporting staff development and maintaining high standards of professional practice.

Requirements:

• Experience of working with children or young people within residential care, social care, education, youth work or a comparable setting

• Previous senior or shift-leading residential childcare experience is desirable

• QCF Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or recognised equivalent, or willingness to achieve the qualification

• Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment and behaviour support

• Ability to provide leadership, guidance and direction to staff

• Confident making appropriate decisions and taking responsibility during shifts

• Full UK driving licence essential
