Location: Chipping, Preston
Salary: £33,489 per year + performance bonus
Hours: Full-Time, Permanent
Shifts: 2 on 4 off rotating shift pattern

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join a supportive children’s home team in Chipping, near Preston, supporting children and young people aged 8-18 with emotional and behavioural needs. This role is commutable from Preston, Longridge, Clitheroe, Garstang, Blackburn, Fulwood, Ribchester, Great Harwood, Lancaster and surrounding areas
As a Team Leader, you will provide leadership, guidance and support to the team while ensuring children receive safe, nurturing and person-centred care. You will lead allocated shifts, coordinate staff, support day-to-day routines and ensure care is delivered in line with individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding requirements.
You will help create a stable and supportive environment where children feel safe, valued and understood, while also supporting staff development and maintaining high standards of professional practice.
Requirements:

Experience of working with children or young people within residential care, social care, education, youth work or a comparable setting

Previous senior or shift-leading residential childcare experience is desirable

QCF Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or recognised equivalent, or willingness to achieve the qualification

Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment and behaviour support

Ability to provide leadership, guidance and direction to staff

Confident making appropriate decisions and taking responsibility during shifts

Full UK driving licence essential
