An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and passionate English Teacher to join a thriving English Department within a specialist SEN education setting.
You will work with learners from Year 7 to Year 11, delivering engaging, accessible English lessons that spark curiosity, build confidence, and help students develop their voice through language and literature.
This is a role for someone who believes in the power of words to open doors, change perspectives, and make a real difference to young people’s lives.
What you’ll be doing
- Planning and delivering engaging English lessons aligned to the national curriculum
- Supporting learners with a range of SEN and additional needs
- Creating accessible and inspiring learning experiences in language and literature
- Building confidence in reading, writing, and communication skills
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to improve outcomes and share best practice
- Maintaining high expectations for all learners
What we’re looking for
- Ability to make English engaging, accessible, and relevant
- Experience or strong interest in supporting SEN learners
- A collaborative, team-focused approach
- Commitment to high standards for both teaching and learning
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
