Senior Support Worker | Children’s Residential Home
Location: Wallasey
Salary: £15.00 per hour, plus £60 per sleep-in (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Shifts: 2 on, 4 off, including sleep-ins
Shift Times: Long day shifts with sleep-ins as part of the rota
Please note: We do not hold licences to support overseas candidates. You must have previous experience working within a Children’s Residential Home or a similar residential childcare setting as a Senior Support Worker or Support Worker.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join a Children’s Residential Home located in Wallasey , supporting children and young people with a range of emotional and behavioural needs.
As an experienced Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective and person-centred care while supporting the day-to-day running of the home. You will provide guidance to colleagues, promote positive outcomes for young people and help maintain a nurturing, stable and supportive environment where children can thrive.
You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of safeguarding, care planning and compliance, working closely with colleagues, families and external professionals to ensure each young person receives the highest quality of care.

Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Children and Young People’s Workforce or Residential Childcare is desirable

Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Previous experience working within a Children’s Residential Home or similar residential childcare setting

Experience supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs

Ability to complete accurate records, care plans and incident reports

Full UK driving licence

Eligibility to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
