Location: Stoke
Salary: £33,500 – £35,400 including sleep-ins (depending on experience)

Hours: Full-time
Shifts: Days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Shift Times: Long shifts, including evenings and weekends

Please note: We do not hold licences to support overseas candidates. You must have a minimum of 1 year’s experience working within children’s residential care and hold a full, clean driving licence. You must also be aged 21 or over.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Residential Care Worker to join a children’s residential service located in Stoke, supporting young people within a safe, nurturing and structured environment.

This role is suitable for candidates commuting from Stoke and the surrounding areas.

As an experienced Senior Residential Care Worker, you will take a lead role on shift, supporting and mentoring colleagues while ensuring young people receive safe, consistent and person-centred care.

You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of safeguarding, care planning and compliance, while supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes. You will also encourage participation in education, social and community activities and support young people with their day-to-day needs, development and independence.

Requirements:

• A positive, caring and compassionate approach to delivering high quality care
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• A motivated, flexible and proactive approach to work
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent, such as Health & Social Care with a Children and Young People pathway
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience working within children’s residential care
• Experience of leading shifts and supporting colleagues within a residential setting
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and children’s welfare
• Full, clean driving licence
• Must be aged 21 or over
• Ability to work long shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK without s p o n s o r s h i p
