Location: Wallasey
Salary: £51,800 – £53,900 per year (depending on qualifications & experience)
Hours: Full-time, permanent
Shifts: Flexible shifts including participation in the on-call rota
Shift Times: In line with the needs of the service, including out-of-hours support
Please note: We do not hold licences to support overseas candidates. You must have previous experience working within a Children’s Residential Home or a similar residential childcare setting in a management role.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a Children’s Residential Home located in Wallasey, supporting children and young people aged 7–17.
This role is suitable for candidates commuting from Birkenhead, Wallasey, Bebington, Heswall, Ellesmere Port, Chester, Neston, Hoylake, West Kirby and surrounding areas.
As Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the home, ensuring children and young people receive safe, effective and person-centred care. You will provide strong leadership to the care team, promote positive outcomes for young people and ensure the home maintains a nurturing, structured and supportive environment.
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safeguarding, quality assurance, compliance and care, working closely with young people, families, professionals and external agencies. You will ensure the home operates in line with its Statement of Purpose, Ofsted requirements and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
Requirements:

A positive, caring and compassionate approach to delivering high-quality residential childcare
-
Proven experience managing a Children’s Residential Home or similar residential childcare setting

Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a senior/management role within Children’s Residential Care

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) required

Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015

Experience supporting children and young people with complex needs, including EBD and looked-after children

Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Experience overseeing care plans, risk assessments, reviews and placement planning

Ability to lead, motivate and develop a care team effectively

Experience with staff supervision, performance management and training

Strong understanding of quality assurance, audits and regulatory compliance

Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
-
Ability to work collaboratively with families, social workers and other professionals

Full UK driving licence

Eligibility to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
