Salary: £50,000 – £56,600 including performance-related bonuses
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a small, three-bedroom children’s home in NW1, London, which is reopening. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the home from reopening, providing high-quality care to children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
The successful candidate will be a confident and hands-on leader, capable of managing a small team, maintaining regulatory standards, and driving positive outcomes for children in a supportive, therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day and strategic leadership for the home.

Manage and support staff, including supervision, mentoring, and professional development.

Oversee rotas, occupancy, and ensure smooth home operations.

Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and safeguarding standards.

Foster a positive, structured, and safe environment for children.

Participate in on-call arrangements (included in salary, shared with Deputy Manager).
Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years’ management experience in a children’s residential care setting.

NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or working towards).

NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent.

Strong understanding of children’s safeguarding, care legislation, and regulatory frameworks.

Proven staff management, leadership, and organisational skills.

Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and occasional weekends.

Salary £50,000 base, with potential up to £56,600 via performance bonuses

Ofsted Bonus: £3,000 for Outstanding, £1,500 for Good

Full Occupancy Bonus: £300 per month

Car allowance (£3,000) or company car (£5,400 per year)

32 days’ annual leave including bank holidays, increasing by one day per year for the first three years
