Dual Registered Manager | Children’s Residential

Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: Full-Time | 9am – 5pm |On-call requirement of one week in every three

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Dual Registered Manager to oversee two children’s residential homes in Chesterfield, supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). This role is suitable for candidates commuting from Chesterfield, Sheffield, Dronfield, Worksop, Mansfield, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Alfreton, Clay Cross, Bolsover, Eckington, Matlock and surrounding areas. Both homes have a Deputy Manager in place, providing additional leadership and support within each service.

As Dual Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the safe and effective management of both homes, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding and compliance are maintained in line with Ofsted requirements.

You will lead and develop the teams across both homes, oversee care and placement planning, manage staffing and performance, and ensure the homes continue to provide a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for the children in your care.

You will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement, maintaining regulatory compliance and working closely with the Responsible Individual and Directors.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Registered Children’s Home Manager is essential

• This role is not suitable for candidates looking to step up from a Deputy Manager position

• Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Children’s Residential Care is non-negotiable

• Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management – desirable

• Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and children’s residential care

• Experience managing children and young people with EBD and complex needs

• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills

• Ability to manage and develop teams across two homes

• A full UK driving licence is essential

• Eligibility to live and work in the UK without s p o n s o r s h i p
