Location: Bournemouth and surrounding areas
Role: Community Family Support Worker
Hours: Flexible shifts (days, evenings, weekends, potential waking nights)

S.N.G Healthcare is seeking experienced, reliable, and compassionate Community Family Support Workers to support parents, children, and families within their own homes and community settings.
This is a meaningful role where your input directly supports safety, parenting capacity, routine, and positive outcomes for children and families.
You will work professionally within family homes, maintaining clear boundaries, following safeguarding procedures, and completing accurate, factual records.
Key Responsibilities
You may be required to:
- Provide practical and emotional support to parents, babies, and children
- Support daily routines, structure, and positive parenting approaches
- Observe and record parent–child interactions
- Always promote the safety and wellbeing of children
- Support with feeding, hygiene, appointments, and household routines
- Recognise and report safeguarding concerns appropriately
- Maintain accurate daily records and escalate concerns promptly
- Work alongside social workers and other professionals
- Follow care plans, risk assessments, and agreed guidance
Essential Requirements
- Experience in family support, children’s services, or care
- Confidence working within home-based environments
- Strong understanding of safeguarding
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and non-judgemental
- Good communication and recording skills
- Ability to work independently and follow guidance
- Reliability, flexibility, and strong timekeeping
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable Experience
- Parent and child support / supervised contact
- Mental health, trauma, or substance misuse awareness
- Domestic abuse awareness
- Learning disabilities or autism
- Community or outreach support
- Waking night experience
